When Does the Fasting Day Start in Bradford?
As Ramadan approaches a common topic of discussion (particularly in the long days of the summer months when the twilight doesn't disappear) is when is the correct start time for the fast (known as sehri or suhoor time)? A comparison of Ramadan timetables in Bradford masjids was undertaken by myself last year as a basis for further scholarly discussion inshallah.
The survey does not attempt to discuss the fiqh positions held by different schools and is of purely academic interest. We ask Allah He accepts the fasting of all the Muslims this year and guides us to that which is correct and unites our hearts. Ameen.

Remaining Steadfast After Ramadan
If the fasting of Ramadan comes to an end, then indeed the voluntary fasting is still prescribed throughout the entire year. If standing in prayer at night during Ramadan comes to an end, then indeed, the entire year is a time for performing the night prayer...
