A Journey Through Heart, Mind, and Soul
Ever felt overwhelmed with stress and anxiety? Or dealt with voices of negativity deep inside, telling you you're unworthy?
We all experience spiritual and emotional turbulance, but Allah (S.W.T) had given us the formula for finding inner peace in every circumstance. We just have to dig a little deeper into the Quran.
Join Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed for an exploration of the verses in the Quran that emanate salam (peace) and sakeena, and uncover the roadmap to inner peace.
Despite complaining and slightly hating life on the return leg of the trek....after some reflection whilst @Lina Fazlanie (QM) was kindly driving us back to Leicester. I'm glad it was horrendous weather and difficult as it made me experience a fraction of an iota of what refugees from Syria and other war torn areas are going through in the winter. And I have a roof, hot food and family to come back to. So apologies to anyone who heard me complaining. Massive massive Jazakallah khr to those who organised the trek and all of us for supporting each other through it.
Mashallah this is just one example of how keeping the right company matters. Jazakallah to all team for their efforts -May Allah reward you all. To the whole group attending you were all such stars pushing ourselves and getting to the and down. To those who encouraged me and kept me company as I fought the cramps Jazakallah khayr.
Alhamdulillah makes one feel truly blessed and want to give more, this was just one difficult day for us, where others are living in these harsh conditions...
We all had our struggles yesterday from foot wear to falls to severe winds/rain/cold to blisters to hunger due to not being able to get the food out of the bags as it would get blown away. Allah swt knows each and every single person's struggle throughout the entire trek - all in the name of charity and in seeking His reward so we ask Allah to accept from us and increase us in gratitude for all the luxuries we have in life, alhumdulillah. May each and every step, each and every rock and stone we stepped on throuhout the day be witnesses and testify for us on the day of judgement.
Like everyone else, I found yesterday extremely difficult, but I am super glad we had that weather yesterday. I think it was Allah showing us how difficult the Syrians have it and how important the cause is. Every single pound is needed to the cause. Winter is similar to this for them. For us, this was a few hours. For them it's permanent :disappointed_relieved: ... The donations will help them with warmer clothes, food and a solid built shelter which will protect them from the weather we saw yday.
However far you got, this was never about getting to the summit. Those that did, well done but you are CrAzYThose that nearly did, well done for judging the conditions and making a decision to start heading back
Those who struggled, you probably pushed themselves further than you could ever have thought possible.
What everyone will take away is their own experience and a memory of the day.
And that's the challenge for all of us in life, what can we do today that we can take and learn from yesterday that will make is better and improve us.
