<body>Bradford District Care Trust is the provider of mental health and learning disability services across Bradford district. Serving a population which nearly 20 percent Muslim, this NHS Trust sought the opportunity to learn something about Muslims and how they maybe able to better meet their needs.

The meeting started with an introduction to Al Islam followed by an exploration of Muslim needs and finally questions and answer. The NHS managers found the opportunity genuinely useful and this can be appreciated by some of the comments made:

"This was a great opportunity to learn about Muslim communities in a relaxed and informal environment"

"I felt I could ask questions, I wouldn't dare to ask usually"

This was the first of inshAllah many such occasions whereby IslamBradford facilitate discussions with statutory services on Al Islam and the needs of Muslim communities. If others would like to take the benefit of such engagement vehicles and knowledge workshops, please contact imam@islambradford.com to arrange a visit.

Its important Muslims and Non Muslims recognise the demographic composition of Bradford and seek to learn more about their clients/ customers to improve services/ products for this growing segment of the local population.</body>
