Gain the reward for fasting the whole of this year.

It is authentically reported that the Messenger of Allah ( sallAllahu 'alayhiwa sallam) said, "whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and then follows this with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted the whole year" [Muslim]

The reason for this is that a good deed is multiplied tenfold, hence every fast is like ten fasts. [Trans: hence a total of 36 fasts will be equivalent to 360 fasts] Therefore why not take the opportunity to fast six days in this month which is now 10 days old? Allah Azzawajal only knows if you will see this month again, or even the rest of this year, so why not take the reward for fasting it.

Therefore please accept this invitation to fast and share it with those who you know, as it is authentically reported that the Messenger of Allah ( sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, " None of you [! truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself. " [Al Bukharee & Muslim]
