SATURDAY SISTERS’ ACTIVITIES UPDATE

Little Companions re-opens on Saturday (28 February) at 10am after a week of half term holiday. This is what the children have been learning about recently:

LC1 ( 5 year olds) has been learning about the Seerah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw)
LC2 (6-7 year olds) has been looking at the 4 Greatest Women in Islam and taking them as role models. We look forward to finding out who the children chose as their living role models and why as their homework.
LC3 (8-9 year olds) has been looking at the lives of the Prophets. An exciting week ahead as the children will be making an ark to re-tell the story of Nuh (as).
LC4 (10 plus) has been working hard learning about, Tawhid, Shirk, their purpose in life, Shaitan and about the Hereafter.

ISLAMAZON BRADFORD BOOK SALE IN AID OF SCOPE

IslAmazon Bradford (a subsidiary of IslamBradford smile emoticon ) will be holding an Islamic book sale straight after Jumuah this Friday (27/2/2015) at 1-00pm, with all proceeds going to disability charity, Scope (www.scope.org.uk). The books are authentic Islamic material and in as good as new condition and generally retail in the market at £5-£10; however on this occasion, the books will be up for grabs for only £1 each! The book sale is a great opportunity to restock the home Islamic library and support a worthy charitable cause. There will be a separate stall in the sisters' hall.

NEW CENTRE UPDATE (24/02/2015):

Yesterday, all praise be to Allah, we took delivery of the heat pumps for our environmentally friendly new heating system at the New IslamBradford Centre. A crane was used to hoist the heating pumps on to the roof. Once we get it all fired up in a few weeks time, inshallah,...a warm welcome awaits you all!

Keighley BigK 10K Run

Following on from our great 5K successes at the Bradford City Run and the Epilepsy UK Run, Saltaire in 2014, this year we will be fielding a team at the 'Keighley BigK 10K Run' on Sunday 15 March in aid of the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. The 10km race (6 miles) will be in the centre of Keighley and should be a great day out inshallah and an opportunity to show the community that we care. Brothers wishing to participate can email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to let us know they're on board. There is no requirement to collect sponsorship, just a flat fee of £12 payable per runner direct to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. Please self-register at the link below.

NB:For those unsure about running 10km, a run-walk (or even just walk) is quite acceptable as an alternative to straight running. But remember you have to be in it to win it!
